Wali Kota Palembang, Harnojoyo memberikan sinyal positif terkait pembukaan sekolah tatap muka.
"Ya, kami dapat laporan Dinkes, asesement kita sekarang sudah level 3 dan ini sudah diajukan ke pemerintah pusat. Akan tetapi kan kita masih berada di masa PPKM sampai tanggal 6 September mendatang," ujarnya, Senin (30/8/2021).
Harnojoyo menambahkan, dia juga sudah membicarakan hal ini kepada Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kota Palembang, Ahmad Zulinto.
Kemungkinan, setelah PPKM ini Kota Palembang akan memulai sekolah tatap muka secara terbatas.
"Ya akan kita lakukan, mungkin 25 persen dulu. Akan tetapi tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang ketat," ujar Harnojoyo.
Ia menjelaskan nantinya, akan dilihat dulu sekolah mana yang siap untuk menggelar tatap muka.
"Ya, teknisnya akan kita bicarakan lagi dan kita lihat sekolah mana dulu yang siap menggelar tatap muka. Mungkin ada 20 sekolah SMP dulu, 20 SD dulu. Kita akan lihat. Izin orang tua juga penting," kata Harnojoyo.
Menurut Harnojoyo, sekolah tatap sudah sangat diperlukan, karena pembelajaran daring yang hampir berjalan dua tahun kurang efektif.
"Memang lebih baik tatap muka. Karena anaknya kan kalau di rumah lebih banyak bermain dibandingkan belajar. Kalau sekolah tatap muka, kebutuhan anak untuk belajar bisa berjalan dengan baik."
Disinggung soal vaksinasi anak, Harnojoyo mengatakan, Pemkot Palembang terus berupaya.
"Kita terus berkoordinasi dengan pihak terkait, agar target vaksinasi Covid-19 ini segera terwujud," ujar Harnojoyo. (*)
