Aksi bom bunuh diri di Gereja Katedral, Makassar, membuat sejumlah daerah meningkatkan kewaspadaan, termasuk di Kota Palembang.
Isu radikalisme dan penanganan konflik sosial menjadi pembahasan serius oleh Pemerintah Kota Palembang bersama Forum Komunikasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkompinda).
“Ini menjadi perhatian banyak pihak
Apalagi, di Kota Palembang banyak keanekaragaman agama, suku dan ras. Karena itu, Pemerintah Kota merasa perlu untuk melakukan upaya guna meminimalisir gesekan yang bisa memicu konflik sosial,” kata Wali Kota Palembang, H Harnojoyo, dalam rapat koordinasi dengan Forkompinda di Ruang Parameswara, Pemkot Palembang, Rabu (31/3/2021).
Harnojoyo menegaskan, menjaga keamanan ini menjadi tanggung jawab bersama.
“Kita perlu meminimalisir ini agar terciptanya kondusifitas," katanya.
Harnojoyo menambahkan, pemerintah telah melakukan langkah-langkah strategis untuk meminimalisir munculnya konflik sosial.
“Di antaranya, melalui program safari subuh sebagai wujud untuk membangun kebersamaan dan kedekatan dengan masyarakat. Dengan begitu, kita bisa mendapatkan informasi langsung dari masyarakat. Secara tidak langsung pun membangun kebersamaan," kata Harnojoyo.
Selain itu, Pemkot Palembang juga menggandeng ustad/ustadzah dalam kebersamaan dalam berbagi kegiatan, seperti gotong royong di setiap Minggu pagi.
