Jelang perayaan hari Natal 2022 dan Tahun Baru (Nataru) 2023, Wakil Wali Kota Palembang Fitrianti Agustida memprediksi sejumlah bahan makanan dijual di Pasar bakal aman untuk masyarakat Kota Palembang.
Pasalnya, dari rapat monitoring dan evaluasi program prioritas keamanan pangan terpadu, bersama Balai Badan Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan (BBPOM) Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel), sejumlah pedagang nakal telah diproses dan dibina.
“Alhmadulillah dari beberapa kali kami sidak dan monitoring bersama BPOM, menunjukan hasil yang baik, yakni sudah tidak ditemukan zat berbahaya seperti formalin pada mi kuning, tahu dan zat berbahaya lainnya,” kata Fitrianti saat diwawancarai di Ballrom Hotel Beston Palembang, Kamis (1/12/2022).
Terlebih, dari kasus gagal ginjal akut misterius sempat naik di Indonesia, pihak Pemerintah Kota Palembang dan BBPOM Sumsel dengan cepat melakukan tindakan.
“Dari isu nasional, obat sirup kami dengan cepat ikut mencegah peredaran bebas di Palembang,” ujar Fitrianti.
Kepala BBPOM Sumsel, Zulkifli mengatakan pihaknya terus memantau dan mengecek ke lapangan untuk mencegah zat berbahaya pada makanan dan kosmetik di Palembang dan di Sumsel.
